CHP is Efficient

CHP 75%+ efficient vs. traditional grid only 30-40% efficient

When a traditional power plant burns fuel, about two-thirds of the potential energy is lost as waste heat or in transmission. By generating electricity on site and capturing heat for productive use, Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems can raise average efficiency levels from about 35% to about 80%. And that is with proven technology. CHP systems have been around since Thomas Edison’s days, providing considerable efficiencies in thousands of installations around the world. This increased efficiency allows us to offer electricity at a discounted rate to utilities and to provide our clients with a more eco-friendly energy solution.
